I had excellent experience having to move twice from London to a temporary accommodation then to my new home at Walderslade Kent. Both the moves had been executed with precise care and respect to my property. The crew were very polite, friendly and made me feel exceptionally comfortable and trusted them immensely to do their job. Beds and furniture were dismantled and wrapped as they were to be stored in a double garage and spare rooms of my partner for 5 months whilst my house was completely refurbished. On the last move, l obviously believe that things will be done as before and completed without a hitch. Beds and furniture were reassembled and job completed happily. I am very sure that James Removals fulfil every job responsively as always and I highly recommend this company. Thanks for the excellent service! Your crew is excellent too !

Do not employ this firm unless well insured or if you care about irreplaceable antiques! Wrote several emails,sent photos of two items damaged & reported loss of other items. Also tried to speak to boss on phone,though promised calls back on same day twice it never happened.Was asked to photo items (despite Mark who collected the boxes taking photos as he collected the boxes 4 days after my move) then heard nothing at all,despite repeated calls & requests; until I rang the Bar to which they belong,then they immediately emailed me (just half) an insurance claim form,which I'd continually requested previously by phone. Then had to ask for other half  to be sent so after a few days was sent a photo copy of same bit,without instruction side I asked for! At no point have I ever received an apology,only assurances that their men are good (though I have always been polite & overlooked small items that I couldn't find on moving,damage to new mattress that wasn't covered & became soiled,emptying of small drawers containing lingerie into box whilst carrying larger ones full, not putting dust sheets down at either address;though all this is against against company policy) & been blocked every which way with my insurance claim considerably adding to the distress of moving.Unfortunately,it appears only the older man of the removers was particularly careless  during the actual move,the other was much better,so it is done to one man & an apathetic management team I have had such a negative experience! I now feel too worn out to pursue a claim which is sad because I've spent hours on the phone to them & antique restorers (as James insurers who I also phoned,requested me to do for a quote) all to no avail,& which will now cost me to employ someone in the future to fix.

I cannot recommend highly enough the helpfullness, hardworking, professional, honest and friendly service that James Removals gives!  From the first enquiry call to their office, to the last box unloaded, they instilled complete and utter confidence in me like no other removal company has done in the 18 times myself and my husband have moved home between us! You would think I would be used to doing this - my husband has done more of the moves than I - but it still puts the fear of God in me each time we do it! I just hate the upheaval more than anything! James Removals sent Aaron round to give us a quote.  He was exceptionally helpful and friendly, and honest and realistic about what we could and couldn't do/achieve. The quote was for packing and moving a large two bed duplex, my husbands study itself was enough to give anyone nightmares! The quote was extremely reasonable at £700 VAT for a last minute move. Giving them two days notice and paying cash up front I was nervous to say the least. James the owner phoned me several times giving me complete reassurance and on the day they turned up bang on time, a team of four extremely friendly and polite lads, headed up by Aaron, the others all introducing themselves as they came in and set to work.  All I can say is these guys just blew me away!! They worked so hard, not one thing asked was too much, all done with cheer, just so helpful.  They were just an absolute credit to the company! Everything packed up and loaded we were out in exceptionally good time. The lads parked the vans at our new property and went for a well earned lunch break which gave us a chance to get in and check the new place etc.  Unloading at the new end was just as speedy, not one item even had a scratch, everything put into the correct rooms, furniture reassembled, the lads even did all the cables for my husbands spaghetti junction TV system!!  These guys made the move a pleasure!  I would not hesitate in recommending them in a heartbeat - an amazing company!

We were impressed with James Removals from start to finish - Aaron who came round to assess the cost, came back to us when he said he would, with an estimate (which was in fact reduced, after our very first conversation, as he said we didn't have as much to move as he thought!). Pam at HQ was very helpful too - confirming an exchange date is not always an easy process so she had to put up with a lot of changes from our side, and made sure that we were booked in when the time was right! On the day, Dave and his team were extremely courteous, efficient and careful and worked bloody hard from their early arrival at our house, to load up the van, to their prompt delivery a few hours later at our new house.
I would thoroughly recommend James Removals for their professional yet approachable manner, nothing was too much trouble. Plus they were quite simply, top blokes!

We recently used James Removals and would highly recommend them to anyone seeking a professional and caring approach for removals purposes. They were prompt on arrival and managed to safely load all items onto their vehicle without any damage being incurred. I know this as I was watching the whole process. They were quick, meticulous and methodical in their approach and undertook the whole move with a smile on their face and a pleasant attitude. I do not have a negative to comment on and would urge anyone seeking a removals company to select James Removals. I had huge and heavy pieces of furniture to move from one home to another, they arrived early and ready to work, very polite and professional.  They were unfazed by the size and weight of my furniture ( this is after contacting other - cheaper - removal companies and being let down by all of them ).

I cannot recommend James Removals enough.  They moved us from West Wickham to a rural village in Norfolk all in 1 day although a 2-day move had been specified.  The 4-man crew loading were brilliant - punctual, smart, polite, courteous, enthusiastic and worked very well as a team.  Furniture had to be dismantled and nothing was too much trouble.  The 2-man crew who unloaded the other end were equally brilliant - I have never seen 2 men work so diligently and hard.  Again, nothing was too much trouble. Everything was handled carefully and respectfully. They were brilliant.  Furniture had to be re-assembled, and this was done efficiently.  Nothing was broken or damaged.  Any logistical problems were overcome with tact and discretion.  Please use James.  It is unusual to find such sterling service in today's business world.

I recently hired James Removal to assist me with a move from my house that I had sold following a set of challenging circumstances and significant trauma over a period of twenty one months. The staff at James removal were wonderful in their care and support of me and sensitive to my needs during this process. The removal guys turned up on time were wonderful in their assistance and support in the organisation of my belonging into those that would be moved to my rental property and the remainder that would go into long term storage.

I have bought and sold seven properties to date and I can honestly say I have never had such a excellent and well managed move that was delivered with grerat professionailm and care. The professionalism and care is embedded into the culture of James Removal and is evident on first contact with the office based staff who are wonderfully helpful and supportive and are solution focussed and helpful to any last minute changes.

I will be recommending James Removals to family, friends and coileagues and consider this firm to be the standard bearer for excxellent service and will use them into the future.

If you are considering using a removal company then I would definitely recommend James Removals. They are a really professional company and made the whole process as stress free as possible. I could not book them until I had exchanged and had a completion date but I was able to get packing boxes from them for a refundable deposit as we decided to pack ourselves. On moving day 4 men turned up on time and in uniform and just got on with loading our furniture and boxes really efficiently and with utmost care. They dismantled anything we asked them to and reassembled it in our new house. The whole day went very smoothly and cannot recommend them enough- it certainly is worth the money you pay and would use them again.

This is the second time in two years we have moved, and have used James Removals both times. The service they provided for was excellent on both occasions.

The packers on day one were very careful with all our possessions and there were no breakages at all. They stayed until very late in the evening, but were back on time the next morning with four colleagues for the move. In spite of the miserable task of moving from a three storey house to a fifth floor flat, including some long, heavy items that had to be carried up seven flights of stairs (from a sub-basement!), they kept up a cheerful banter all day and we didn't hear a single groan. They dismantled and reassembled several pieces of furniture and were very efficient.

Every member of the team was smart, professional, polite and hard working - a real credit to the company. We would definitely use them again.

This company treated my mothers bits and pieces as if they belonged to the queen. They couldn't have been more helpful. They completed this move in 4 days from first contact to the moving day. I don't think you'll get a better service anywhere else.
As we were on a tight schedule we asked for the items to be packed into boxes which was fantastic as my mum didn't have to do a thing. It really took all the stress away for her. Also the boxes are refundable on return (and they collect them!).

Excellent  crew , worked as a team , no moaning just got on with the job, beds dismantled , fridge  doors taken off, got to new place Vendors were late , so our guys had to hang around , it was no problem moved everything in to the proper rooms no problem , we was very pleased with the whole package provided by James removals . Having had a good experience when James moved us to France seven years we asked James to quote for our return move to the UK.

They were very competitively priced relative to the other quotes we received and given our good experience we decided to employ James again.

Despite temperatures over 30 degrees Gary and Connor worked tirelessly to pack our belongings and then to load them onto the truck.

Gary and Danny then did a great job of getting our belongings into our London home when we returned.

I was recommended James Removals by a friend and I’m very glad to have used them.

We used their boxes and will have our deposit refunded when they are empty and they are collected. The boxes are really strong, reliable and don’t collapse so in effect it makes great sense. These are then reused when in good condition. They are recycled by James Removals when worn out. Very good ecologically.

Everyone was great especially the team on the move days; Jeani, Micky, Charlie, Harry, and Wane. They were fantastic! All were very professional and careful with their work. They we’re very calm and helpful. It was a bit complicated with some storage required and some on a straight move. We had four move days over a few months.

Everything was taken in their stride. Nothing seemed too much effort at all. Everyone was so pleasant and a pleasure to work with, with plenty of good humour.

The loading and unloading of the lorries was planned very well and safely done.

I will definitely recommend them too.

What a professional and yet down to earth company who have just the right mix of both! My move went smoothly and the guys worked extremely hard. They kept me informed about what was going on and reassured me when I needed it with a sprinkling of humour and respect. I can’t thank them enough for making the move itself the best part of the whole selling and buying process. I also now have a much better idea of how hard the guys have to work- a real eye opener. I would highly recommend the company.

Only after a complaint to BAR and months later did James Removals respond with a £100 as a gesture of good faith..

they were late, stoned, rude, unapproachable, careless and exceptionally incompetent. DO NOT use them.

we had to dryclean a wet wedding dress, reconstruct our son's cot at midnight, hire another storage unit because they were not intelligent enough to fit our belongings into one, have our sofa and mattress cleaned. I have to stop..

We moved from London to Kent, we put our home contents into storage for approx 3 months, then had all delivered to our new house. I have nothing but praise for this company from start to finish, they excelled in all areas, from the office staff right through to the men who stacked and un-stacked our belongings, I watched everything being loaded onto the van, all good were carefully wrapped or padded to make sure nothing was broken, the men were courteous and polite at all stages of the move,nothing was too much trouble for them. when we finally found the "house of our dreams" they delivered on time and again the service was impeccable, although we had our goods in storage for three months everything was keep in excellent condition and delivered as good as it was when they first loaded it. I am very surprised to see any negative comments about this firm because that was certainly not our experience, maybe it's a rival firm? I will be telling anyone who wants a removals firm that this is the best firm to go to. Well done James!
ps, I had to write delivery to South end on sea because Kent is not on the list?
the cost of removals is not accurate as we moved into storage, paid a monthly payment then paid for delivery three months later, but we were happy with the price.

I would recommend James removals.there operatives were very hard working.very carefull with our property.the three lads we had were very pleasant to work with .they also went above and beyond what you would expect.thank you very much.The lorry arrived bang on time.the fragile items were all well looked after.they covered our leather settes with purpose made covers.dismantled our large American fridge and reassembled at the new house.the large range cooker was moved with ease and they rapped it in plastic for us at the new house as it was not ready to be installed yet.
